Opened in late 2012, this was the first brewery in Paris proper in many decades. Of the original line with flavors inspired by the neighborhood’s African markets, only the spiced Château Rouge remains. Others in the permanent lineup include an IPA and a wheat beer flavored with chai. Visits to the brewery and beer tastings are free, bottles can be purchased chilled and ready to go.
In Other Words
Le Parisien (2019) writes during Paris Beer Week that the brewers here “haven’t lost their touch” with heavy-handed allusions to their longevity on the beer scene. Most current patrons “were still sucking down soda” when the brewery opened in 2012; today, they enjoy one of a line of five permanent beers (reduced from ten) and two seasonal brews.
