Mouth what?
What We Do
Jun 1st
Paris by Mouth is a collaborative website, edited by established food writers, that is changing the way people find and appreciate delicious things in Paris. We take the food writing that is scattered all over the web, filter out the junk, and present it in a way that helps you follow the trends and find a place to eat tonight.
What You’ll Find on This Site:
Our Guide to Paris
In contrast to the guides that are compiled by interns typing from abroad, our selections have been made by editors who live in Paris and write regularly about food. As a result, our restaurant pages present the most up-to-date ideas about where eat, plus practical information about opening hours, atmosphere, price, and how hard it is to book a table. The collection of “trusted reviews” that accompany each address allow you to see how a restaurant is regarded by the eaters we esteem. Our “Find a Restaurant” search widget in the sidebar allows you to quickly find a restaurant based on price, location, and whether it’s open when you need it.
Blogger Buzz
We digest the latest food news, reviews and gossip about food and wine in Paris and republish excerpts (with author permission) on our site. We filter out the junk and post only trust-worthy information and opinion. Instead of reading forty different sites, our readers can rely on a single source to stay on top of new openings and local favorites.
Five Great
Our Contributing Editors (check them out here) have put their well-fed heads together to choose Five Great places where you can satisfy cravings that range from steak-frites to molecular cuisine. A new list of five favorite addresses, selected by a group that has published thousands of articles for food and magazines & websites, will be published regularly.
Daily Porn
Glistening food photography – a new image published every day – to compliment the millions of words on our site. To submit an image or link for our consideration, contact parisbymouth (at) gmail.com, or simply add your photo to our online Flickr group.
Eating & Tweeting
We use our @ParisbyMouth Twitter feed to share news about restaurant openings and local food & wine events. We also pass along the delicious ideas shared by local food-minded Paris tweeters. You can follow us here.
