This popular restaurant and wine bar run by Drew Harre and Juan Sanchez is a sort of Anglo haven, excellent for a quick glass, a solo dinner at the bar, or for those times when you’re just tired of speaking French.
Crêpes up front and pork (Ibaïona) in the rear. It’s standing room only at Yves Camdeborde’s tapas and wine bar, a hit since it opened in fall of 2009. Go during the off hours or be prepared to be get to know the person next to you very, very well.

At Le Relais de L’Entrecôte, the choices are steak or steak, and the supply of golden fries is unending. Which is how the line to be seated will seem unless you go early. Three locations.
In this sleek little space, Toyomitsu Nakayama (the former personal chef to fashion designer Kenzo) plies his trade in an open kitchen, with a style that Patricia Wells calls “not Japanese and not French, but completely his own.”
East meets west meets north meets south at William Ledeuil’s Ze Kitchen Galerie.
A loyal neighborhood clientele keeps the twenty-or-so seats filled at this tiny bistro, run by English chef-owner Chris Wright.
The people watching — if not the food– is fantastic at De Flore, where tourists cram in with fashion people and literary types (real or imagined) for coffee, drinks, and a little piece of Left Bank history. Those with vertigo should not look at prices.
L’Epigramme was taken over by new owners in the fall of 2010. It remains one of the more reasonably priced bistros in the neighborhood, but reviews of the food have been mixed.
