This beloved bistro was taken over in autumn 2011 by chef Stéphane Schmidt, an ex of Le Violin d’Ingres, who has given the menu an Alsatian flavor, with wines to match.
The crêperie, behind Montparnasse, ranked #2 in Figaroscopes 2009 survey of the best galettes complètes in Paris. Continuous, all-day service.

The newly opened Casse Noix is helmed by Pierre-Olivier Lenormand, who spent six years at La Régalade. With its old-timey decor and generous cooking (think braised beef cheeks and ile flottante), you can add it to the 15th’s already lengthy roster of solid bistros.

Julien Duboué serves up bold Basque flavors at this modern bistro in the 15th.
Forgotten dishes are given new life at Jadis, where old recipes meet technical rigor and today’s best ingredients. Many people consider this to be one of the city’s best bistros.

Christian Etchebest’s Troquet is just one reason why many people say that the 15th has the city’s best bistros.
The room feels posh, but the prices are reasonable at Le Marcab, sort of like a bistro playing dress up.
