Holiday alert! The vast majority of Paris restaurants will be closed from before Christmas until after the New Year, with many reopening on January 3. To help you navigate this tricky period, we’ve contacted the restaurants in Our Paris Guide and have compiled the following calendar of restaurant closures. We’ll continue to update this post as we learn new information, and we offer more detailed descriptions of holiday options in our posts about Paris restaurants for celebrating Christmas and for ringing in the New Year.

Thanks for the list! Do you know what markets will be open over the holidays? Marché des Enfants Rouges?

  7. Camille says:

Generally the markets keep their normal schedules, but I’ve noticed in the past that many vendors will take some time off at the holidays, so there are not quite as many options at the market.

Of interest is that in today’s ‘scope, Colette Monsat suggested the following for NY Eve:
    Les brasseries.
Chez Lipp, le Bar à Huîtres, le Terminus Nord, le Ballon des Ternes, le Café de l’Alma
    Les tables étrangères
    Aphrodite, chez Mme Shawn
    Les inclassables
Le Coq Rico, la Maison de l’Aubrac
