Thank you for this list. It will save us from walking to restaurants that are closed. I was excited to read your review of Le Ribouldingue. Does anyone know whether this restaurant will be serving the week between Christmas and New Year’s?
Any news on whether Le Chateaubriand (Ave. Parmentier) will be open or closed during December 24-30?
Will Chez l’Ami Jean be open the first week of January?
What about Guy Savoy? Thank you!
Anyone know about a la biche au bois closure during the holidays?
Thanks for the list! Do you know what markets will be open over the holidays? Marché des Enfants Rouges?
Generally the markets keep their normal schedules, but I’ve noticed in the past that many vendors will take some time off at the holidays, so there are not quite as many options at the market.
Of interest is that in today’s ‘scope, Colette Monsat suggested the following for NY Eve:
Les brasseries.
Chez Lipp, le Bar à Huîtres, le Terminus Nord, le Ballon des Ternes, le Café de l’Alma
Les tables étrangères
Aphrodite, chez Mme Shawn
Les inclassables
Le Coq Rico, la Maison de l’Aubrac
Thanks Meg for this helpful list. Looking forward to being back in Paris over this period, reservations in hand!
Thanks John! The link to that Figaroscope article, which has a host of other (non-resto) ideas for New Year’s Eve, is here
