  • Alexander Lobrano (2008) “Mama’s menu takes a stab at the trendy comfort food that’s done so well at places like Cheri Bibi (which I include in Hungry for Paris), but misses because the produce isn’t as good and there’s no pride or generosity in the cooking…”

While the food didn’t blow us away, we found Mama Shelter to be the perfect mix of a good meal, in a very trendy location. The atmosphere all week round is testament.

    “trendy location.”
Hum, I must have missed that tour.

Well, after four years, I finally got there and found it was neither as good as I’d heard nor bad as I feared. But what a schlep for hipster/WorldFood.
