  • May 1: La Confrérie des Fins Gourmets de Longny-au-Perche are hosting a Fête de la Tripe where they share their appreciation for tripe, a local specialty. Highlights include cold tripe tasting and a four course lunch. (61 – Orne)
  • May 3 and 4: The 20th annual festival celebrating the AOC and AOP culinary heritage of Normandy, les Rencontres de Cambremer, takes place in the picturesque town of Cambremer in the Pays d’Auge.  Events include cooking classes for adults and children, culinary classes taught by an MOF fromager and a cider expert, and an AOC/AOP market where attendees can purchase local products. (14 – Calvados)
  • May 9 – 11: Celebrate the town’s famous cheese, the rich culinary history of Normandy and wine and spirits from all over France at the Fête du Fromage in Pont l’Évêque (14 – Calvados)
  • May 11: Learn to cook with edible flowers – dandelion, stinging nettle and violets –  at la Ferme de la Cauchetière in Livarot. The class is free, but reservations are required. Call + 33 02 31 62 97 54 to reserve a place. (14 – Calvados)
  • May 17  and 18: The 18th century flour mill in Rethoville, le moulin à eau de Marie Ravenel, will be open to the public and offering wood oven baked bread tastings between 2-7 pm to celebrate the nationwide Fête du Pain. (50 – Manche)
  • May 18-20: Les Camembertises in Vimoutiers celebrates all things related to camembert – the farms, the small producers, the cows, the local towns and villages. Kids can learn to make butter and adults can taste Normandy cider and Calvados. A full schedule of events is available on the website. (61 – Orne)
  • June 6-9: The 31st annual Foire aux Cerises in Vernon is a typical, small French town summer festival offering live music, dancing, food, events for the kids and a market. (27 – Eure)
