The vegetarian landscape in Paris continues to improve. In the airy, minimally decorated dining room at Soya, you’ll find the usual suspects (salads, curries, savory tarts, soy in all its forms), all organic, and a thoughtful winelist.

  • Alexander Lobrano (2010) “…we had a pleasant meal in this relaxed, friendly bobo nest in the 11th arrondissement. Among the dishes we liked were their mezze, houmous, soy couscous, lasagna stuffed with tofu, and tofu cheesecake…”

a friend and i went there for brunch on a saturday morning and were greatly disappointed. the brunch was styled as a buffet, which is fine as a concept. but then they brought the food out in batches so we never knew what was on the complete menu. they refilled the empty dishes at their own leisure and the service was less than acceptable. we had to wait for at least half an hour for 2 espressos. this is after reminding them several times.

suffice to say, as the brunch goes they need to get their act together. i hope for a better experience during their normal meal times.

Been twice, disappointed each time. The food is like a vegetarian gut-bomb, heavy on the processed meat substitutes and carbs and light on actual vegetables. The wine list is indeed nice, but waiting close to twenty minutes (in a not-even-close-to-full place) for a glass is not.
