What’s Open around Christmas & New Year’s?

Holiday alert! The vast majority of Paris restaurants will be closed from before Christmas until after the New Year. To help you navigate this tricky period, we’ve contacted the restaurants in Our Paris Guide and have compiled the following calendar of restaurant closures.

We’ll continue to update this post as we learn new information, and we offer more detailed descriptions of holiday menus in our posts about Paris restaurants for celebrating Christmas and for ringing in the New Year

75001 (Louvre, Palais Royal, Opéra)

  • Beef Club will be closed December 24-25 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • Juveniles is closed from December 21-29 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve (fully booked).
  • Le Meurice is closed on December 24 for lunch. Open Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
  • Verjus and Verjus Bar à Vins will be closed December 24-28 and January 1-4. Open New Year’s Eve.

75002 (Sentier)

  • A Noste will be closed from December 24 – January 3.
  • Big Fernand will close at 3pm on December 24 and December 31 and will be closed all day on December 25 and January 1.
  • Chez Georges will be closed from December 24-December 31. Open on New Year’s Day for dinner.
  • Fee Nature will be closed from December 24 after lunch – January 4.
  • Frenchie & Frenchie Bar à Vins will be closed from December 20 to January 4.
  • Frenchie to Go will be closed December 25-26 and January 1-2. Open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
  • Terroir Parisien at the Palais Brongniart will be closed December 24-25 and December 31 at lunchtime. Open New Year’s Eve.

75003 (Northern Marais)

  • Candelaria will be closed from December 24-25 and December 31-January 1.
  • Ibaji will be closed from December 24 through January 1.
  • Le Mary Celeste will be closed from December 24-25 and December 31-January 1

75005 (Latin Quarter)

  • A.T. will be closed December 24-25 and December 31-January 1.
  • Aux Verres de Contact will be closed December 24-28 and January 1-3.
  • Bistrot Terroir Parisien will be closed December 24, 25 and December 31 for lunch. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • La Tour d’Argent will be closed on Sunday and Monday as usual during the holiday period. Open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.

75006 (Saint Germain)

  • Fish will be closed from December 22-January 1.
  • Semilla will also be closed from December 22-January 1.

75007 (Western Saint-Germain, Invalides, Eiffel Tower)

  • Café Constant will be open every day during the holiday period.
  • Coutume will be closed December 24, 25, and 31 and January 1 Open with modified holidays hours (10am-7:30pm) from December 26-30 and January 2-4.
  • Garance will be closed December 24 (dinner), December 25-26, and January 1-2. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • L’Arpège will be closed on Saturday and Sunday as usual during the holiday period. Open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
  • La Ferme Saint Simon will be closed December 25 and January 1. Open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
  • Le Cinq Mars will be closed December 24-25, and December 31-January 1.
  • Les Cocottes de Christian Constant will be open every day during the holiday period.
  • Le Violon d’Ingrès will be open every day during the holiday period.
  • Pottoka will be closed December 23-27 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve.

75008 (Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Élysées, Madeleine)

  • Alain Ducasse at the Plaza Athénée will be closed December 25. Open Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
  • Le Cinq will be open every day during the holiday period.
  • Le 39 V will be closed from December 24-26 and December 31- January 1 (for lunch). Open New Year’s Day (dinner only).
  • Ledoyen (Alléno Paris – Carré des Champs-Elysées) will be closed from December 24-26. Open New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

75009 (Pigalle, Grands Boulevards)

  • Le BAT will be closed December 24-25, the evening of December 31, and all day January 1.
  • Le Richer will be closed from December 24 – January 1.
  • Office will be closed from December 24 -January 4.

75010 (Canal Saint-Martin)

  • 52 Faubourg Saint-Denis will be closed from December 24-January 1.
  • Big Fernand will be closed at 3pm on December 24 and December 31 and closed all day on December 25 and January 1.
  • El Nopal will be closed December 24, 25 and 31 and January 1
  • Le Chateaubriand will be closed December 20-30 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • Le Dauphin will be closed December 20-30 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • Porte 12 will be closed from December 21-29 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve.

75011 (Bastille, République, Voltaire)

  • Astier will closed December 24-25 and then closed January 1-15. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • Au Passage will closed December 24-26 and January 1. Open New Year’s Eve.
  • Balls will be closed December 24 (dinner), December 25, December 31 (dinner) and  January 1.
  • Bones will be closed from December 21- January 6.
  • Caffè dei Cioppi will be closed from December 20-January 5.
