The team behind Au Passage is opening a new wine bar called Martin on Saturday night November 29.
Au Passage barman Loïc (family name Martin) is leading the charge with backing from Au Passage co-owners Jean-Charles & Audrey and with menu supervision by Au Passage chef Edward Delling-Williams.
Open during the day with morning coffee from L’Arbre à Café, fresh juice and breakfast cakes. Lunch will be cantine style with good products in simple comfort food preparations (2 courses for 16€ and 3 for 18€).
At night, they’ll be serving both cocktails and wine (as at Au Passage, the wine list from Audrey and Jean-Charles will be heavy with vins naturels), plus a menu of mostly finger foods conceived by Edward and elaborated by a young chef named Matt who Audrey met while they working at Spring.
They’ll be closed during the day on Saturday (open at night), all day Sunday, and Monday night.
The address is 24 boulevard du Temple 75011, which puts Martin within 500 meters of Clown Bar, Au Passage, L’Entrée des Artistes, Aux Deux Amis, and the wine and terrine bar under Le Repaire de Cartouche. Wine bar crawl, anyone?
