The restaurant Godaille, situated across the street from the charming Square Trousseau, is a wonderful new addition to the Aligre neighborhood. Its ambitions feel modest – they seem to want to be a neighborhood place – and they’re exceeding them with inventive small plates and one of the best steak dishes I’ve ever tasted.
