A brand new roastery from Parisian coffee powerhouses David Flynn (formerly of Télescope), Thomas Lehoux (Ten Belles), and Anselme Blayney (Ten Belles and Le Bal Café). The roastery and accompanying bare bones tasting space are geared towards production and professional trainings during the week, but will be open to the public for cuppings and coffee on Saturdays. This is less of a café to enjoy a cup of coffee (although you can) and more of a store to purchase fresh beans and equipment.
Address: 10 rue Pradier, 75019
Nearest transport: Pyrénées (11), Buttes Chaumont (7bis), Belleville (2, 11)
Hours: Open to the public Saturdays 10:30am-5:30pm
Reviews of interest
David Lebovitz (2014) “Only open on Saturday mornings, and focusing on filtered coffee, Brûlerie Belleville holds tastings that are open to any and all who are interested in sniffing and tasting their single-origin, just-roasted coffees. The three owners; Thomas, David, and Anselme, do everything in the shop, from presiding over the roasting of the beans, to tending the tasting bar.”
