Patricia Wells (2012) “This elbow-to-elbow meat lover’s paradise tucked away in the southern edge of the 15th arrondissement, is a classic of it genre, a bistro where friends gather with two thoughts in mind: Copious food and lots of laughter for the sounds of good times.”

John Talbott (2007) “It’s small (40 covers max, including the bar), very welcoming…and all French.”

  1. Last November, I called to make a reservation at the Grand Pan without realizing that it was closed on Saturdays. They suggested that I try the Petit Pan just across the street. As the name suggests, in contrast to the large meat dishes of the Grand Pan, the Petit Pan offers a wide variety of tasty small dishes that cost around 5 euros each. My friend & I sat at the bar and had a great time sharing six different dishes and tasting a variety of wines by the glass. It is not a formal atmosphere, but laidback…and the quality is very high like the Grand Pan. A highly enjoyable evening.
