  1. Le Dôme was great, for the food, but for the food alone–a langoustine entree and a half bottle for €71. But the service left little to be desired. This was convenient, but not worth the money, given the attentiveness (did not ever receive water, as requested, and had to signal several times for the check). If I wanted to jockey for attention, I would have waited at the Chanel counter at Bergdorf’s during the holidays.
