Fragments

Black Market, a well loved café with great coffee, has adapted and transformed–into a bigger and better coffee shop. Youssef Louanjli has a tightly edited menu of simple food to complement the beans sourced from Coutume, Belleville, Coffee Collective and more. Expect a variety of coffee preparations including aeropress, filtered coffee, a variety of milky coffee beverages, and espressos pulled on a Mirage machine.

Reviews of interest

David Lebovitz (2014) “Owner Youssef Li carefully concocts filtered coffees and espresso drinks in spartan surroundings. I had a quick espresso and two tiny madeleines, which were light and delicate.”

Lindsey Tramuta-Morel (2013) “Expect reliably good roasts from a host of purveyors (Belleville, Coutume, etc.) and a compact but smart savory menu. In the warmer months, take the coffee to go and head to nearby Place des Vosges.”

  1. We went to Fragments on the weekend – and we went back again because the coffee is really really good. As Australians it is a rare treat in Paris to have a great latte.. and they ave a great latte. ( and fantastic granola with peach and yoghurt too!)
