Paris Restaurants Reopening: Who’s Serving Outside & To Go

Paris is no longer under strict lockdown and has entered “Phase 3” of its reopening plan. Since June 2, Paris restaurants have been allowed to serve on their outdoor terraces, and the city has granted many permission to set up outdoor tables where before there were none. As of June 15, restaurants are also allowed to serve indoors, provided social distancing measures are in place. In addition, many of our favorite restaurants are continuing to offer meals for takeaway or delivery.

Below you’ll find our summary of who’s doing what during Phase 3 of the reopening plan.

Restaurants Serving Outside

Macéo (modern & creative €€) is open with an expanded terrace. It is also offering a full selection of food and wine for takeaway. Order online.

Pirouette (modern & creative €€) boasts a lovely terrace that is now open Monday-Saturday from 12-2pm and 7-10pm.

Yam’tcha (contemporary tasting menu €€€) is currently closed, but sister dumpling shop Lai’tcha (7, rue du Jour, 75001) has reopened for takeaway Friday, Saturday, and Sunday noon-8pm. It is also hosting “Diners d’Adeline” Thursday-Saturday; two dinner services (7:30pm and 9pm). Pre-order/reserve at 01 40 26 05 05. It has a few tables outside.

A Noste (contemporary tasting menu, wine bar €€) has opened their sidewalk terrace and reservations are available online.

Frenchie (contemporary tasting menu €€€) has launched its takeaway and delivery service Frenchie at Home with a regularly changing three- and four-course menu as well as a vegetarian option and selection of wine, beer, and bubbles. The restaurant has reopened; reserve online. Outdoor tables are available on a first-come first-serve basis.

Breizh Café (crêpes €) The Marais outpost of our favorite crêpe restaurant has opened inside and out. It is also open for pickup and delivery. Order online.

Capitaine (modern & creative €€) Capitaine is open both inside and out with an expanded terrace of tables in the small side street.

Outdoor counter dining at Les Enfants du Marché

Les Enfants du Marché (modern & creative €€) has opened their outdoor counter inside the covered market. If you can’t snag one of the coveted seats, the restaurant is continuing with its takeaway offerings. Order online, by phone (01 40 24 01 43), or on-site Tuesday-Sunday 10am-8pm.

Elmer (modern & creative €€) has reopened for outdoor and indoor dining. It will also continue to offer takeaway and delivery. Menu online; order via email (elmerchezvous@gmail.com) before 6pm the night before for delivery 4-7pm. Brunch available for takeaway and delivery Sunday 11:30am-1:30pm.

Le Mary Celeste (small plates, cocktails €) is open inside and out Monday-Friday 6pm-11:30pm and Saturday & Sunday noon-11:30pm. (Bar until 2am)

Café des Musées (classic bistro €€) has reopened for takeaway (menu online) and outdoor dining for lunch and dinner daily.

Capitaine (modern & creative €€) is open Wednesday-Saturday for dinner and Tuesday for lunch both inside and out.

Grand Cœur (Mediterranean with outdoor dining €€) is open every day for lunch and dinner (and drinks in between) with an 85-seat terrace.

Vins des Pyrénées (classic bistro €€) is serving inside and out all day every day from 8am to 10pm.

Miznon (Israeli fast casual €) has set a few tables out on its narrow sidewalk and is also offering its menu to go Sunday-Thursday 12-11pm and Friday 12-4pm.

Café de la Nouvelle Mairie (classic bistro €€) has reopened with an expanded terrace.

Hugo & Co. (modern & creative €€) is open indoor and out Monday-Friday. The restaurant is also offering takeaway and delivery via Deliveroo; menu online.

Le Bel Ordinaire Rive Gauche (modern & creative €€) has created a temporary sidewalk café open Tuesday-Saturday thanks to the pedestrianization of the street outside the restaurant through September. It is also offering a 24€ menu for takeaway or delivery Tuesday-Saturday. Order online a day in advance before 2pm.

Les Papilles (classic bistro €€) has reopened with a handful of tables outside.

Augustin Marchand d’Vins (natural wine €€) has opened for takeaway and with a small terrace out front. Open Tuesday-Sunday 5-10pm.

Le Colvert (classic bistro €€) has reopened inside and out. It is also serving an ever-changing daily menu of dishes to take away.

The outdoor terrace at Le Comptoir du Relais

Le Comptoir du Relais (classic bistro €€) – is open 7 days a week from noon to 11pm, with about 50 seats on the terrace; reserve by phone (01 44 27 07 97).

Fish – La Boissonnerie (classic bistro €€) is open Thursday-Monday for lunch & dinner and boasts a lovely terrace.

Freddy’s (wine bar, €) has reopened Wednesday-Sunday for lunch & dinner. Neighboring sister restaurant Fish-La Boissonnerie is lending its terrace to Freddy’s on Wednesdays only; reserve by phone (07 89 29 91 05).?

Huîtrerie Régis (oysters €€) this gem for oyster lovers has opened its sidewalk terrace and is continuing its delivery service; order by phone (06 56 79 05 36) 24 hours in advance. Menu on Instagram.

Sauvage (modern & creative €€) has reopened with not one but two terraces: one in front of the restaurant, and the other in front of the wine cellar across the way.

Treize (American, breakfast €) is open inside and out every day from noon to 8pm.

Chez l’Ami Jean (classic bistro €€) is now open Tuesday-Saturday from 6-11pm. It has set up a handful of tables in front of the restaurant. Every Thursday night through September, it is also hosting an international food market on the rue Malar.

Arnaud Nicolas (classic bistro €€) has opened its sidewalk terrace and has expanded it to include more tables and more social distancing. Reserve by phone (01 45 55 59 59) or by email (bourdonnais@arnaudnicolas.paris). Closed Sunday all day and Monday lunch.

La Fontaine de Mars (classic bistro €€) has reopened and boasts a large outdoor terrace.

L’Angelus du Canal (classic bistro €€) has reopened its terrace just off the Canal Saint-Martin from 4pm Tuesday-Saturday, boasting a slightly smaller menu than usual.

Passerini (Italian, €€) has reopened with seats inside and out.

Le Saint-Sébastien (modern & creative €€) has reopened Wednesday-Saturday with a handful of tables outdoors.

Le Villaret (classic bistro €€) has reopened for lunch & dinner Monday-Saturday. It is also selling dishes to take away.

Fulgurances L’Adresse (modern & creative €€) has opened its terrace “Fulgurances, en face” just across the street from the restaurant. Plates between 8€ and 13€. Open Wednesday-Saturday from 4pm.

Hood (coffee and Asian canteen €) has been offering takeaway and delivery of dishes and pantry staples since the beginning of lockdown. (Order online.) It has also opened a small terrace with seating for 4 to 5 people.

Jones (small plates €€) has expanded its original post-lockdown “Meats & Bottles” menu of house-made charcuterie, cheese, and wine to include shared plates. Table service inside and out from 7 to 11pm Thursday-Sunday. Meats & Bottles is open from noon to 7pm. Takeaway also available.

Le Repaire de Cartouche (classic bistro €€) – Le Repaire de Cartouche has opened inside and out dining Tuesday-Saturday for lunch & dinner, Sunday & Monday for lunch only.

Outdoor tables at Le Bistrot Paul Bert

Bistrot Paul Bert (classic bistro €€) is open 7 days a week with an expanded terrace.

Yard (classic bistro €€) has reopened its wine bar for eat-in (inside and out) and takeaway Monday-Saturday noon to 10pm.

Le Servan (modern & creative €€) has reopened from 8:30am-10pm Wednesday-Sunday.

Septime (contemporary tasting menu €€€) has reopened.

Aux Bons Crus (classic bistro €) has reopened.

Bistrot Paul Bert (classic bistro €€) is open 7 days a week with an expanded terrace.

Café du Coin (classic bistro €) has reopened.

Le Chateaubriand (contemporary tasting menu €€€) has reopened. It is offering a special lunchtime takeaway menu of pan bagnat and mitraillette sandwiches Tuesday-Friday noon-4pm from its wine cellar Le Cave. Other dishes to reheat at home are also available Tuesday-Saturday 11am-9pm.

Le Repaire de Cartouche (classic bistro €€) has opened for outdoor dining Tuesday-Saturday for lunch & dinner, Sunday & Monday for lunch only.

Jones (small plates €€) has expanded its original post-lockdown “Meats & Bottles” menu of house-made charcuterie, cheese, and wine to include shared plates. Table service inside and out from 7 to 11pm Thursday-Sunday. Meats & Bottles is open from noon to 7pm. Takeaway also available.

Fulgurances L’Adresse (modern & creative €€) has opened its terrace “Fulgurances, en face” just across the street from the restaurant. Plates between 8€ and 13€. Open Wednesday-Saturday from 4pm.

Hood (coffee and Asian canteen €) has been offering takeaway and delivery of dishes and pantry staples since the beginning of lockdown. (Order online.) It has also opened a small terrace with seating for 4 to 5 people.

Mokonuts (modern & creative, lunch only €€) and its sister restaurant Mokoloco have launched Lokonuts, with takeaway and delivery options including wine, small plates, and of course Moko’s famous cookies. Mokonuts has also reopened for service.

Robert (modern & creative €€) will remain closed until September, when it plans to reopen with a more plant-based menu. Sister wine bar Martin has reopened its large terrace Tuesday-Saturday from 4pm.

Le Villaret (classic bistro €€) has opened a terrace for lunch only Monday-Saturday. It is also selling dishes to take away.

Passerini (Italian, €€) has reopened with seats inside and out.

Yard (classic bistro €€) has reopened its wine bar for eat-in (inside and out) and takeaway Monday-Saturday noon to 10pm.
